DVSA has confirmed that HGV driver training and testing will recommence as soon as the country first moves out of the lockdown restrictions (expected to be on 12 April in England according to the Government roadmap, this will be confirmed at a Government Review on 5 April. Driver testing will commence 10 days later (Thursday 22 April).
 
The Agency has emphasised that these are indicative dates at the moment, and in the event that the Government announces a delay to the 12 April date then driver training and testing will be delayed accordingly. Theory testing will re-commence on 12 April also.
 
Re-start dates for driver testing and training in Scotland and Wales will be subject to decisions about the relaxation of restrictions by their respective Governments. The Agency will issue further guidance for Scotland and Wales in due course.
