Engineering Inspection – It still surprises me that when I visit clients to review and renew their insurance policies, particularly within the construction and motor trade industry, there seems to be a misunderstanding regarding inspection of equipment.
You are required to have certain items of plant and equipment certified to meet the various HSE legislation – for example LOLER and PUWER.
Failure in getting your equipment certified could result with an accident at work, fines and/or possible legal action from the employee or Health and Safety Executive.
