When a policyholder has suffered a loss and needs to make a claim under the policy, they will probably contact their broker first and rely on them to report the claim to the Insurer.

The truth is, many brokers out there offer a very limited claims service, when it comes to the crunch and YOU need help, you get told a claims form is on its way and you are on your own. You can only contact them Monday – Friday between 9 and 5 pm, The technical knowledge can be  poor, claims staff are often employed and do not hold the relevant insurance qualifications to understand the risks insured.
